Machine immerses trays full of flowers in water and lifts them out again, the bases and/or sides of the trays being perforated. It has one or more water basins (2, 3) and one or more gratings (14, 16) on which the trays (26) can be placed. A lifting mechanism (6, 7) lowers and raises the trays in and out of the basins. There can be a frame (1) with vertical beams, round which tubes on the gratings slide under the action of the lifting mechanism, and these beams can form part of a movable frame, with a hand-operated lifting mechanism coupled to the tubes and gratings. The gratings can be detachable from the tubes.
