The plastic bottle case has four side walls (1, 2) and a bottom (3), the inner space being subdivided into a number of pockets for individual bottles (8) by partitions (4, 5) with spacers (6, 7). The spacers are formed as projections (6) or wall portions (7) extending on one side from the partitions (5) or side walls (2) in the space between two adjacent bottles. These projections or wall portions do not extend as far as the opposite wall of the pocket. At the point of the projections (6), the partitions may have an angled contour (7) whose apex leads into the projection (6). The projections may be integral with the bottom (3) of the crate.
