The reinforcement is for flat elements in more than one row, where convection plates are placed against the sides. The opposite ridges (5) of the convection plates (4) have raised contact surfaces (6), and those bearing against each other have one or more common connectors. The plates are affixed to one another and to the heater elements by spot welding (7) with two attachments per face. The heater elements themselves are typically flat plate members with regular hexagonal tubes (3) spaced at regular intervals, the convector plates being attached to the flat wall sections between the tubes.
