Vehicle driven by closed cycle vapour engine - having boiler delivering vapour to three cylinder radial engine with inlet valves controlled by common lever

The closed circuit vapour cycle engine uses a liquid with a low boiling point which is evaporated in the boiler (B) by the burner (C) supplied with fuel from the tank (D). The vapour flows along the duct (E) to the three cylinder radial engine (A) and drives the wheels (M) of the road vehicle. The exhaust vapour flows out through the duct (F) to the condenser (G) where it is liquified. The liquid flows through the duct (H) to the pump (J) which pumps the liquid to the boiler (B) to repeat the cycle. The power output from the radial engine (A) is controlled by an inlet valve mounted on each cylinder and the three valves are linked together to a common control lever.
