A lever 4 pivotally mounted on the frame 3 is connected between the top plate 14 and a spring 9 supporting the rear of the cab 1 so that when the vehicle passes over an uneven surface and the front part of the frame 3 is higher than the rear part, as shown, the rear of the cab 1 is raised as the frame 3 tilts relative to the semitrailer 2. A locking spring acts on the lever 4 or an additional spring supports the cab 1 to limit tilting of the cab when the semi-trailer is uncoupled from the vehicle. Instead of or in addition to the lever 4 there may be a lever connected between the front end of the cab 1 and the rear of the top plate 14. Both ends of the cab 1 may be supported by a lever pivotally mounted on the frame 3 between those ends and connected to the top plate 14. A verticallyextending lever rigidly connected to the top plate 14 may be linked to the rear of the cab 1 by a pull rod.
