SEEN IN THE PROMOTION OF CONCENTRATED PESTICIDE SUSPENSIONS

The formation of concentrated, stable suspensions of pesticides, whose solubility in water is not more than 1.5%, is achieved in a simple manner by metering a melt of pesticidal active substance and an addition of an emulsifier or an acid which is based on an anionic emulsifier into an aqueous phase with vigorous stirring but with the exclusion of air, the aqueous phase having a temperature of below the point of solidification of the melt and, if an emulsifier acid is present in the melt, furthermore containing the corresponding amount of a base which together with the acid gives the finished emulsifier. The melt can additionally contain formulation auxiliaries, and the aqueous phase can additionally contain soluble pesticides and/or formulation auxiliaries.
