The composition has a Durran's softening point of at least 80‹ C. I and II may be prepared by reacting either a diglycidyl ether of a hydrogenated bisphenol or a polyglycidyl ether of a hydrogenated novolac with an aromatic or cycloaliphatic dibasic acid, e.g. isophthalic acid, at 80-210‹ C. The compositions are useful in powder coatings using conventional epoxy resin curing agents or catalysts.
