A washing device for a textile web includes a U -shaped passage formed between two parallel curved walls and through which the textile web passes. The inner surfaces of the walls are provided with ribs. which project into the passage and which extend in the feed direction of the web. The ribs ensure that the web is guided uniformly through the passage.
