Speaking slits for bullet proof glazing - has louvres narrowing inwards for clearer audibility and splinter prevention

The bullet-proof glazing for the service point comprises a number of armoured glass panels, one above the other, with intervening speaking slits between the upper and lower sides of panels. The object is to make it possible for speech to be more clearly heard on the other side, and at the same time to reduce the danger of glass splintering in the event of a shot being fired through the speaking slits. The slits, through which people speak, are shaped so that they narrow from the outside of the wall towards the inside. The continuous partition wall, as in a bank or booking office, separates the outer room for visitors or inquirers, from the inner room for operating staff. A number of sloping grass panels (7) are set between the upper (3) and lower (4) parts of the partition.
