The prefabricated reinforced concrete slab-type element (1) is designed principally to serve as a ready-made floor-ceiling element, already provided with heat and noise-insulating capacity. It has two or more sidewalls (2) with eye-loops let into them for transport and installation. The element has a shallow U-shaped concrete cross-section, and is additionally filled with light concrete (4), so as to make it into a slab, of rectangular cross-section. There may be two sidewalls and one or more parallel ribs; or four sidewalls, with no parallel ribs; or four sidewalls and one or more parallel ribs. A high degree of insulation is combined with light weight. Elements need only to be set in a row to form a ceiling, with only a thin covering of mortar. They can be walked on immediately after laying.
