The multi-colour printing system uses a pin registration system for accurate alignment on the light table, plate maker and printing cylinder which ensures the in-registration production of plate negative and printing plates and their accurate mounting on the printing cylinder. - In order to achieve this precision the original which is to be printed and the plate negative have registration holes separated by a distance equal to the distance between registration pins on the preparation table and the plate making frame. The pins are screwed into holes on a registration bar. The plate which is produced has edge slots at the same spacing which are located against registration pins on the printing cylinder.
