Multi-channel monopulse radar - with automatic amplification and phase regulation, test signal coupled into sum and difference channels

The arrangement, for incorporation in a monopulse radar set with a summation and a difference channel, permits amplification and phase regulation to be effected during operation so that they are equal in these channels and any alteration in parameters are compensated immediately. A joint directional coupler and two separate directional couplers for the channels are incorporated to couple in a test signal with a given delay in respect of the scan signal. The latter directional couplers precede phase changers and intermediate frequency amplifiers which are regulatable. Phase regulation is by limiters, a phase discriminator and amplifier while amplification regulation is through an amplitude comparator and an amplifier.
