Framed foil natural ice skating rink - with foil edge held between projection and groove in frame top and bottom parts

The basin, which can be set up on the ground for use as a natural ice skating rink, consists of a watertight sheet of foil, to be used as a trough-shaped unit, with its edge held in the operative state by a peripheral frame engaging it from above, so that the water level never reaches the highest point of the raised foil edges. For raising the foil (3) to the required height, use is made of a protuberance (8) which projects upwards on a lower part (2) of the frame, onto which can be inserted a U-cross-sectioned upper part (1) to grip the foil from above after this has been laid across between them. A min. filling level the water surface may not lie below the bottom edge (12) of the upper part of the frame. The frame parts may be made of wood or plastics. There is no risk of damage to the foil at the edge of the basin.
