Aluminum hollow section window or door frame corner - with retainer lugs in activating apertures and projections on corner- piece wedges

The corner connection used in a frame, with filling, for a door or window, has closed hollow shaped-section units converging and fixed together at a bevelled angle of 45 deg., with a corner piece at each joint with both shanks incorporating a sloping face along which a wedge is splayed into the hollow section, the shaped-section units are pref. made of aluminium. An activating aperture for the wedge concerned is formed in each of them on the side facing the filling. The wedges have a vertical projection on the face which meets the interior surface of the hollow units, while the activating apertures are fitted with a retainer lug for the wedge, projecting into the hollow spacE.
