Curtain fitting comprises a hollow support rail with snap-in end members and a longitudinal channel (16) for holding the fastening elements of the metal support members (11) as in 17299397. These fastening elements consisting of one-piece section members mounted movable in the channel (16) and provided with an upper collar (38) which rests against the edges of the protruding strip (20) of the channel and with a lower counter plate (39) which rests against the top of the holding chamber (24) in the channel (16). A single aperture (41) passes through the collar (38), the counter-plate (39) and the interconnecting thinner neck (40) and has at least in part an inner threaded portion which engages with the threaded bolt of the support member (11). The free extended end of the support member (11) is pressed in its operative position against the base (45) of the holding chamber (24) in the channel (16) wherein the lock nut (37) can be tightened.
