Mixing amounts of colours in colour lithography are determined by measuring grey values of colour separation negatives in exactly the same spot with coupled photo-elements and transferring currents obtained by way of amplifiers to measuring devices and moving colour step wedges whose common field shows mixed colour. Scales of measuring devices consist of colour wedges from where individual values can be read.
