Dust suppressor for underground mining - with radial diffusor with radial vanes next to gas-water mixing zone

Dust suppression appts. comprises a suction zone, a pipe: which mixes the dust-laden gas stream with water, and behind it a dust separator, and a radial diffusor with radial vanes immediately adjoining the mixing zone znd simultaneously forming the sludge separator. - The radial diffusor wall has slots which lead into a dust or sludge chamber surrounding the wall. The width of the slots and/or the position of the vanes can be adjusted and the vanes have pivot joints approx at their mid point. - The diffusor wall pref. consists of sections which overlap and are adjustable relative to each other, with a flow monitor for controlling means for displacing the wall sections and/or vanes. - The appts. can thus be adapted to varying gas quantities
