The pump arrangement comprises a cylinder bush containing a piston with control profile(s), the cylinder wall being provided with a bypass post for each control profile, - which post mag at the same time, serve as an inlet post, and a cavitation resistant impact element being arranged outside the bush so that its hardened surface faces the post. The surface facing the post has an indented profile whose width increases, preferably conically, in the direction towards the post. The surface of the indentation is polished. The surface of the bottom of the conical identation preferably has a smaller diameter than that of the post.
