The dust extracting plant has an explosion relief valve (14) situated at one end of a chamber, the other end of which is connected to a dust delivery duct (10) and to an inlet duct (13) to an air/dust separator. The two ducts are arranged at an acute angle so that an explosion front propagated through one of the ducts tends to continue away from the other duct and towards the valve. This valve is situated outside the building housing the plant and is constituted by a loose cover resting on an opening of the chamber. In an explosion the cover is blown off but caught by a cage.
