A method for the improvement of the switching behavior an injection-locked microwaves - oscillators in amplifiers for phases of pulsed microwave signals

The microwave transmitter has the behaviour of its injection-synchronised microwave oscillators (in amplifiers) improved by controlling the phase of the control signal by synchronous frequency modulation of the oscillator. Frequency modulation is accomplished by means of a varactor diode in the oscillator. An IMPATT diode is used as active component for generating the oscillations in the oscillator. The injection synchronised oscillator is modulated by varying the IMPATT diode's current. (The oscillations may be generated by active microwave semiconductor components other than an IMPATT diode). The advantage of this arrangement lies in its increasing the max. attainable gain.
