Sterilising aq. dispersions for electro dip lacquering - by brief heating and recooling for economy without detriment to ageing resistance

The sterilisation of aq. lacquer dispersions for electrodip lacquering comprises brief heating to =50 degrees C and then cooling to the original temp. The lacquer dispersion pref. is removed continuously from the dipping bath, heated in heat exchangers, recooled and recycled to the bath. The process is economical and keeps bacterial contamination within harmless limits without negative side effects, unlike bactericides and fungicides.
