1299301 Asparaginase BOEHRINGER MANNHEIM GmbH 15 Jan 1971 [19 Jan 1970] 2090/71 Heading C3H In a process for obtaining an L-asparaginaserich bacterial cell mass, bacteria are first cultured with strong aeration in a nutrient medium containing participants of the tricarboxylic acid cycle as well as amino acids at pH 7 to 8À5 until the critical point of the growth curve is reached and then the bacterial growth is matured in the medium depleted in oxygen and nutrient material with maintenance of the pH value whereafter the cell mass is recovered. The bacteria used may be Escherichia coli.
