A fine adjustment spring for measurement and control devices is disc-shaped instead of the usual coil or spiral shapes. High adjustment accuracy and adequate proportionality between spring force and displacement with very accurate adjustment reproduce ability are made possible. Each disc spring has spoke arms running from the centre of the disc to its periphery. At least two disc springs (1) are used. They are fixed together at their outer edges, which move wrt the measurement or control device. The device is connected to the centre of the disc, where the force is applied or sensed. The spoke arms may be free-ended for formed by curved cut-outs in the disc.
