Double monochromator spectrometer with easy switching - is from single beam and double wavelength to double beam and single wavelength operation and back

The spectrometer has a light source, and two monochromators for generation of two beams of selected wavelengths with a chopper and mirror system for directing the beams alternately to a measuring cell and detector system and with a second beam path in which a standard cell can be placed, and with means to switch over from two wavelength/single beam to single wavelength/two beam operation. - The chopper and mirror system (M1-M4; M1-M6, 18, 19) are arranged so that the second beam path is alternately fed from the two beams of different wavelength, and the changeover system includes an arrangement of stops (15, 16, 17) by means of which in two wavelength/single beam operation the second beam path, and in single wavelength/double beam operation one of the monochromator beams is blocked.
