The enclosed turnking (2) fastened to a wall carries services such as oxygen, compressed air, electrical power and signalling circuits, and is equipped with connection points at predetermined intervals. A load bearing rail (16) has free access everywhere except where local supports (40) join it to the trunking. - It carries equipment to be used locally and plugged into one of the services. Typically the rail (16) is a stainless steel rectangular tube with sealed ends giving maximum strength with minimum weight. It is joined to the base (35) of the trunking by a local support block (17). The rail may also be used as a location for local stand partly supported from floor or wall and used for heavier equipment.
