Sheet metal stamping out station has a stamping-out punch disposed below the press table underneath the conveying plane of the conveyor rails; coaxially in the punch is located a cut-out lifting pin controlled by the main drive. A cutting plate working in conjunction with an ejector is attached to the upper punch and is equipped with a spring loaded displaceable cut-out piece holder. pref. the press the cut-out piece is held between the cut-out lifting pin and the cut out piece holder during the upward motion of the lifting pin. The design permits faster operation of gang presses, prevents bedning of cut-outs and reduces vibrations. It is used in sheet metal press shops.
