Method and apparatus for controlling continuously operating evaporator crystallizers

A control for a continuous operating crystalliser with in series arranged centrifueg whereby the total volume of mother and fresh liquor in circulation is measured and used as the control parameter for the heat input rate to the crystalliser as well as the extraction rate of mother liquor in relation to fresh liquor addition. The density of the circulated liquor is measured and the quantity ratios adjusted by means of computer. The quantity of mother liquor extracted by the centrifuge controls the wash fluid to it. The plat comprises crystalliser, inlet tank, centrifuge, mother liquor buffer tank, and liquor pump. A 100% yield is claimed.
