Unit for assembling match boxes from inner and outer cases - with improved means of correcting the position of a wrongly placed outer casing

In the appts. for assembling the boxes by means of reciproacting pushers, the outer boxes or cases pass through a down shaft. The theoretical position of the outer cases is controlled by a reading device controlling a turning mechanism by means of which cases in a false position in the down shaft can be rotated. The turning mechanism is now formed from the pusher for the outer cases and a holding element which can be introduced into the down shaft and permits the outer cases which have passed the reading device in a false position to fall onto the pusher when this is moving in the direction required for assembling the inner and outer cases. It also permits these outer cases which have passed the reading device in the correct position to fall onto the pusher moving when this is in the opposite direction given above. Any outer cases passing down the feed shaft in the wrong position can be rapidly and safely turned into the correct position, the subsequent feeding of the correctly positioned outer cases not being restricted by the turning device.
