Fluorescent indicator for the analysis of hydrocarbon mixtures

Indicators for fluorescent indicator adsorption (FIA) analysis of hydrocarbon mixts., contg. at least one alkyl pyrene-(1) with alkyl gp. contg. =12C, as blue fluorescing component. The blue zone in the chromatograph column which indicates the aromatic content of the mixt., is clearly defined and easily measured even by inexperienced operators.
