A bridge circuit used in measuring instruments has resistors forming at least a part of a branch of a bridge whose diagonal voltage is applied to the input of an amplifier whose output is applied to the display or recording instrument. Amplifier end (5) of a first connecting wire (2) and the bridge (1, 2, 8-10) diagonal point are connected to a measurement amplifier (13) inputs. Amplifier ends (6, 7) of the two other connecting wires (3, 4) are connected to the inputs of a compensation amplifier (14), whose output current is fed back to the bridge branch containing the resistor (1). This arrangement ensures that matching of the conducting resistors follows automatically.
