The adjusting process is designed for a control valve of a turbine having an anticipatory control particularly a steam turbine working with a high pressure working medium. Pressure control liquid is conveyed to an auxiliary cylinder via a servo control when a setting signal, influencing the position of the control valve, changes. The auxiliary cylinder thereby sets a control valve via a mechanical linkage. Working medium tapped upstream from the control valve operates the main servo piston coupled to the linkage as well as to the control valve to be set. The main servo piston is held until the control valve, blocking the working medium, returns to its original position.
