Master brake cylinder with servo - having servo valve moving in spring loaded reaction sleeve for accurate pedal reaction

The master brake cylinder has the brake force input shaft coupled to the servo operating valve by a fixed tag which operates on the valve element in a parallel bore to the main cylinder. The valve element moves through a floating piston whose far end is braced in the bore by a special spring. This provides an accurate reaction force for the brake pedal, independent of the operation of the servo force. The master brake cylinder operates in a fail-safe setting, with a non jamming valve operation.
