Sun visor with grid like resilient plastics frame for vehicle - preventing injury from visor in case of accident

Sun visor for vehicle comprises a support which retains cushion material on one or both sides and which is in the form of a grid-like plastics frame which is elastically deformable in the longitudinal and transverse directions and which returns to its original shape after deformation. Pref. the gird of the grame consists of rectangles with one of their diagonals extending in the longitudinal direction of the support, and the frame is made of injection-moulded plastics in one piece. The support may be mounted pivotably of foldably at one edge in both directions on a stationary shaft of the vehicle, with part of the pivot bearings formed integrally with the plastics frame. The bearing adjacent to the support is pref. a sleeve which is integral with the frame and which receives a tube portion disposed between the sleeve and a stationary pin.
