Obstetrical vacuum extractor with electrical measurement of the tensile force, having the pressure gauge arranged directly adjacent to the straining chain (8) for the suction cone (1). Pref. the pressure gauge is a resistance strain gauge. The coupling element between the feed line of the gauge and the cable leading to the indicating instrument forms a handl which is simultaneously a hose coupling. Inside the hose coupling the feed lines, combined into one cable, (13) are fed over a side opening (14) to the electrical plug (15) connecting to the indicating instrument cable. The straining chain (8) runs through the central opening in the hose coupling (5) and is fastened to the connecting tube (6) on the opposite side to the suction cone.
