the transmission error detector, for biphase coded data signals, stores the binary quantity representing the first half of each bit of the biphase data signal and compares it with the binary quantity representing the second half of that bit. If the two quantities are the same within one bit duration, a signal is released that denotes an error. The signal used to detect a transmission error is stored for the duration of data transmission. The detector includes a serial-parallel converter, a memory and AND logic.
