Multiple wire strip cable with low characteristic impedance - has twisted pairs and optional bare wire embedded in conductive plastics

The multiple wire strip cable, particularly for carrier frequency connection for communication equipment, with reduced cross talk, has twisted pairs embedded in an electrically conductive plastics material which can then be connected to earth. The plastics material can be adhesively attached to a flat base strip. The maximum ohmic resistance of the conductive plastics material between the twisted pairs and the zero point connection is small compared to the characteristic impedance of the cable. Further a non insulated wire or braid can also be embedded in the conductive plastics, alongside each twisted pair. This plastics covering can be in the form of ribs, one for each pair, with a narrow connecting strip between ribs, for making the mechanical connections for the cable.
