The spring loaded hinge has housing sunk into a furniture door and hinge arm held on the furniture panel. The hinge arm is pivoted on the arm held on the hinge housing. The spring loaded mechanism for opening and closing movements is compact and held in sunk housing with standard dimensions. The mechanism has a spring loaded plate (5) which is pivoted about a vertical axis arranged to the housing bottom (7). This plate acts in conjunction with one longitudinal edge of a pivoted lever (4) or of the overhanging arm. The edge of this plate can be folded over and this edge comes into contact with spring loaded round ended plugs in assembly.
