Outlet air dehumidifier for closed clothes drier comprises an air circuit with a circulating fan, in which the interior of the drier communicates via an air filter with a finned heat exchanger for the outlet air, the air circulating fan and a radiator. The pipe coil of the heat exchange for the outlet air forms part of a hermetically sealed circuit which is filled with a refrigerant which condenses at 15-25 degrees C and evaporates at 50-75 degrees C. A second finned heat exchanger situated above the first is subjected to the cooling outside air which is circulated by a room fan over an outside air filter. Pref. a pressure-equalising auxiliary gas e.g. H2 is also present in the refrigerant circuit. The air circulating fan and the room fan may be driven by a common motor.
