Waste rubber deep freezing plant for recycling - utilises natural liquefied gas to freeze rubber for subsequent shredding

Liquefied gases are used for deep freezing discarded rubber components for disposal purposes, e.g. large scale disposal of motor vehicle tyres. Tyres are frozen and become brittle to facilitate their shredding for recycling purposes. Used vehicle tyres are collected close to the regasification plant of the natural liquefied gas. Tyres are placed into containers after coarse mechanical shredding and the liquefied natural gas flows through these containers for regasification and in so doing freezes the rubber. Frozen rubber is shreded into finer pieces and subsequently ground into granulate or powder of required size. The liquefied natural gas must have a temperature of at least - 160 deg.C. Griding is carried out at rubber temperatures of -80 - - 100 deg.C.
