Pneumatic driver locates fasteners accurately for driving - holds fastener in intermediate position for locating in hole before driving

A power driven nailing machine has an accurate positioning system used on insertion of the nails. A nail in guide channel is driven along this channel into the already prepared hole in the workpiece. Fasteners of different kinds can be correctly and rapidly driven or inserted into the predrilled workpiece. The front end projects from the channel sufficient for positioning. The fastener is held in this position and the projecting end is then guided into the hole in the workpiece for tool positioning. The reciprocating driving element is connected to a control system and is moved together with the fastener from its driving end position into an intermediate position. A delay element is connected between the releasing mechanism and the control system. The guide channel has a ratchet for holding the fastener in an intermediate position.
