Snack food inducing a feeling of fullness - contains hollow microspheres, esp. of a vinylidene chloride and acrylonitrile copolymer

The food, useful for medical or cosmetic reasons, comprises a known substance contg. hollow microspheres whose thin skins are of a thermoplastic matl. (esp. a vinylidene chloride-acrylonitrile copolymer) and whose interior is unicellular. Pref. the microspheres have a dia. of 0.01-0.08 mm., and the copolymer should have a bulk density of 40 g./l. The copolymer is resistant to gastric juices and is nontoxic. The microspheres are rarely damaged by chewing, have a long dwell time in the stomach and are tasteless.
