Profiled members for making building components - have matching edges with ratchet elements for ensuring permanent connection

The connector for profiled members is used for making of flat, angular, or channel shaped building components for glass panels and roller shutter boxes. The edges of the profiled members have grooves and tongues for forming connections. The longitudinal edges of the profiled members are connected without any additional fastenings. In connected state the members are able to resist a longitudinal pull. The accommodating edge groove (2) tapers and narrows towards its bottom. The clear width on the groove bottom (4) corresponds to the wall thickness of the inserted edge (3). This edge has supporting rib (5) which acts as ratchet element against the direction of longitudinal movements. These ribs will be locked against the step (6) of a groove profile rib (7). The connecting strip is formed integrally with one edge of a profiled member.
