The telescope is for collecting nearly parallel rays of electromagnetic radiation in all spectral ranges from centimeter waves to medium X-rays especially for use before optical spectrometers for the spectral analysis of small regions on the sun or in interstellar space, or in plasma physics work. Two mirrors fashioned as paraboloids of revolution are mounted so that one (I) receives the incoming radiation, which is reflected from its inner surface on to a focal point which is also the focus of a second paraboloid (II) whence the emergent beam is emitted.
