Drive esp. for rudder propeller with concentric shafts - has outer shaft with special arrangement of conical roller bearings

In a rudder propeller drive for water craft the horizontal propeller shaft is contained in a housing and can pivot about a vertical axis. An input shaft on latter axis is connected by bevel gearing to a hollow shaft surrounding the propeller output shaft. At its one end the hollow shaft is supported by a roller bearing and is connected by a reduction gearing to the output shaft. At its other end the hollow shaft is supported by a pair of opposite tapered roller bearing one of which is free to float radially to avoid overloads due to both latter bearings being centred.
