Infinitely variable gearing comprises a drive shaft connected to a sun gear of a mian epicyclic gearbox and through reduction gearing to a sun gear of an auxiliary epicyclic gear box. Latter sun gear is connected through a variable hydrostatic drive to a second sun gear of the auxiliary gearbox. Latter two sun gears mesh with planets on a common carrier connected to a second sun gear of the main gearbox. The sun gears of latter box mesh with planets on a common carrier connected to an output shaft. The hydrostatic drive is variable to vary the input/output ratio.
