The device is intended for use in conjunction with a hand drill fitted with a separate dust exhauster. The exhauster is fed by the current supply to the drill, for instance through a socket on the exhauster. The operation of the exhauster is controlled by the switch of the drill. Altenatively the exhauster can be fitted with a time delay device to operate the exhauster for some time after the drill has been switched off. The assembly can also be fitted with an override switch for continuous operation of the exhauster.
