Small noble metal parts for jewellery - made by pressure casting in automatic machine with low loss of expensive metals

A piece of metal with a prescribed vol. is preheated and then fed into a tiltable crucible located above the mould. After melting the metal and filling the mould, the latter is moved under a press using a punch to exert pressure on the casting during cooling. The pressed casting is then lifted out of the mould. The equipment includes cutters for shearing bar or strip to a prescribed size, and moulds made of four 90 degrees retractable segments closed for casting and pressing. After pressing, the casting remains on the end of the punch from which it is ejected.
