The container may be loaded on to a skip loader lorry and has outward tapering walls so as to be nestable, and is partic. for removing debris from a building site. The container is arranged so that it can be lifted on to the loader by means of a lifting element connected to fixing points provided at the forward end of the container. At its rearward end the container has rollers fitted at a level such that they can run on the top rims of the next lower container. The container may be provided with skids on the forward ends of which the cable couplings are provided.
