Position regulation of geosynchronous or geostationary satellites - using two or more mirrors exposed to sun radiation for independence from propellant supply carried
Position regulation of geosynchronous or geostationary satellites independent of propellant supply carried uses two or more mirrors. The mirrors are exposed to the radiation of the sun in order to use the solar pressure. They are arranged at a distance from the centre of gravity of the satellite. The mirrors (6) have the same mirror surfaces, and are equidistant from the centre of gravity of the satellite. The mirrors are effective in exercising a torque on the satellite. If the mirrors are in the same plane as the two solar cell arms, the torque will not be exercised by the mirrors.
