Transport system for heavy plant equipment - with detachable self propelled tracks with steering linkage and hoists

The heavy plant equipment has outriggers (7) with securing eyes (8) at the ends. Self propelled track units (10) are fitted to the eyes with vertical pivot axes (18). The coupling to the tracks is by means of hydraulically raised pivot stubs. The tracks are supported in frames (15) through which horizontal axle stubs are fitted (14). The tracks on each side of the plant equipment are linked by steering bars for control. The tracks are detached when not in use, and can be used on other equipment. They provide a faster transport speed than reciprocating support struts.
